Amazing, really like the comparisons to get a better sense of good FTUE. Even tho you feel a good FTUE, as a non UX artist, it's cool to read this and understand the why it feels good.

Also interesting how these concepts apply to stories as well, introducing these properly to an audience without overwhelming them.

That’s true, these concepts can be applied to stories. I was reading an article from a friend about “attack on titan” and i was thinking about how that anime does an amazing job (above average for animes tbh) on introducing the world and setup very quickly and then plan the seed of curiosity early on - that might explain why most plp that watches the first two episodes usually binge watch the first full season 😅

Wait how did you get the bear on a *leash*??? 😲

Got that image from the web and I am holding myself not to google that (I wanna discover, or at least try)... I managed to ride a bear, but every time I go out of it I am attacked haha. But that fancy white bear in a leash is basically my aspiration atm

Great read, love the perspective. Definitely something to keep in mind while building a game. New players don’t necessarily know how to navigate all the mechanics.
